The Tsog Offering (Feast Offering) is a Vajrayana practice of gathering and offering vast offerings to accumulate great merit and wisdom. It is said that participating in one Tsog Offering generates the merit of thirty years of individual practice. Guru Padmasambhava emphasised that Tsog Offering is a powerful method
for quickly gaining spiritual nourishment, accumulating merit, and purifying negative karma.
It involves making offerings to:
- Our Root Guru, the main deity, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, dakas and dakinis, and Dharma protectors.
- As well as to the local spirits, gods of the mountains, ghosts, and beings from the six realms—including our karmic debtors
During the Tsog Offering, the Three Bodies of the Buddha (Trikaya) are invited to the location of the ceremony, where through mantras, mudras, and meditation, the offerings are transformed into nectar. Tsog Offering is not just a simple offering, but one with profound significance and transformative power.

This merit is not merely monetary wealth, but also includes virtue and wisdom, future rebirths, physical appearance and height, a precious birth, fame, the assistance of benefactors, special opportunities for spiritual practice, and the practitioner’s own spiritual power.
