1. Temple has a Ksitigarbha Memorial Shrine where devotees from all walks of life can enshrine ancestral tablets. The monastic community visits the Ksitibarbha Memorial Shrine during the noon offering time daily to recite sutras and dedicate the merits to the deceased beings for their rebirth in the Buddha’s Pure Land.
2. Regarding ancestral tablets, it is important to note that for families with the same surname (Last Name/Family Name), or families residing at the same address, a single ancestral tablet should be used.
3. Once the ancestral tablets are enshrined, they will remain permanently in the Ksitibarbha Memorial Shrine. The sponsorship fees are left to the discretion of the enshriners who are advised to consider the basic cost and expenses associated to tablet enshrinement when making their donations. (For your information, the cost for an ancestral tablet, including shipping, is around US$45; paper lotus, incense, candle, and paper gold are needed when performing the tablet enshrinement ritual.)
4. The newly established memorial tablet number will be emailed to you by the temple once the processing is complete. Every ancestral tablet has a unique number. Please keep a note of the tablet number in order to locate the tablet for future visits, offerings, and other Buddhist rituals.
5. Enshriners are welcome to visit in person to pay respects to their ancestors, to register the deceased for Buddhist ceremonies at the temple, or send donations for offering rituals and other virtuous acts of devotion.
