Auspicious Signs Abound: Rainbows Appear Repeatedly, Fires Soar to the Sky During Homa Ceremony
During the ceremony, the celestial phenomena were exceptionally auspicious. During and before the two major ceremonies, clear rainbows repeatedly appeared in the sky, spanning the venue, as if the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were personally present to bestow their compassion. Simultaneously, the fire in the Homa mandala burned fiercely, flames shooting directly to the top of the Homa furnace, yet the heat emanated a pure spiritual energy, and all participants felt an indescribable warm energy flowing through their bodies.
“I closed my eyes, felt my body solidify, and experienced the joy of Samadhi,” a senior practitioner shared excitedly. Many first-time participants expressed that when the fire of the Homa ceremony was lit, they felt years of troubles vanish like smoke, and their bodies and minds felt light as clouds.
The meals were a sensation: Abundant and delicious food that everyone praised.
Besides the awe-inspiring spiritual experiences, the daily lunches during the ceremony were another highlight. The volunteer team meticulously prepared sumptuous meals, a feast for the eyes and the palate, ranging from classic Chinese stir-fries to creative and nutritious dishes, all receiving enthusiastic praise from fellow participants. Many lined up for refills, exclaiming, “I’ve never had such a delicious lunch at a ceremony! My body is warmed, and my heart is full!”
A surge in taking refuge: The most devotees volunteered to take refuge.
This ceremony, filled with auspicious signs and energy, set a record for the most people taking refuge on the spot in recent years. Many first-time participants, after personally experiencing the rainbow, the Homa ceremony, and the baptism of Buddha’s light, voluntarily requested to take refuge on the spot. A young man visiting the temple for the first time said, “I originally just accompanied a friend, but the moment the fire was lit during the Homa ceremony, I couldn’t help but cry. A voice kept telling me, ‘You’ve come home’—this isn’t superstition, it’s a real feeling.”

The organisers expressed their gratitude afterward, stating that the success of this Dharma assembly was entirely due to the compassionate blessings of Grand Master and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Sincere thanks to Master Lian Yi, the presiding master, and Reverend Lian Jie, the resident reverend, and Dharma assistant Yuehua, along with all the committee members and volunteers for their selfless dedication. Despite extremely limited manpower and time, the result surpassed any Dharma assembly held by the temple —this proves that as long as one’s heart is sincere, the spiritual light of Grand Master and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is always with us.
Although the Dharma assembly has concluded successfully, the rainbow-like memories, the lingering warmth of the Homa ceremony, and the abundant spiritual energy will continue to burn in the hearts of every participant. This is not the end, but the beginning of awakening for millions.
